Manufactured during World War II for the commercial market. Fixed sights with the left side of the slide marked with the Walther banner, two-line address/patent/caliber markings and "Mod PP", and "eagle/N" proofs on the muzzle, chamber hood and slide. A proper matching number is hand-scribed inside the slide, which has no provision for a loaded chamber indicator; originally a special feature, the indicator was very popular, and most commercial PP and PPK pistols are factory equipped with one. With a ring hammer, 60 degree safety, checkered grips and a black plastic magazine extension. The "wood grain" box is matching to the pistol, with a numbered label and "Ohne/Signalstift" (without chamber indicator) label on one end of the lid, containing a Walther PP/PPK manual, barrel rod, "WALTHER" banner equipment tin with cloth and oil bottle, three rounds of "FC" headstamp ammo, and an extra flat base magazine.

Excellent, with 99% of the bright original high polish blue finish showing a few light scratches. 98% of the bright nitre blue on the safety lever. The grips are also excellent, with sharp checkering. The box is fine, with some wear, tear and staining appropriate to age. Mechanically excellent.
