A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Features blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, ground mum on the receiver, "638" assembly numbered takedown hardware, smooth pistol grip stock with cupped buttplate, and the matching partial serial number on the bayonet lug, barrel lug and bolt components.

Exceptionally fine, with 95% plus of the bright original blue finish, showing some light mild bolt cycling wear and handling marks. Some scuffing, denting, and chips visible on the excellent stock. Mechanically excellent.
