Built on a Finnish Sako action with hooded ramped beaded blade front and adjustable flip up notch rear sights, gold inlaid barrel markings, and semi-relief gold inlaid scroll at the breech. The receiver features exceptionally fine semi-relief animal scene engraving with a wolf on the right side of the ring, and a fox on the left with raised gold inlaid scroll accents on the balance and "J. BAERTEN" signature at the left rear of the bridge. The floorplate is also signed "JB". The floorplate is engraved and gold inlaid en suite with a grouping of prairie dogs on the floorplate, and a bobcat face on the guard. Even the stock screws feature gold inlaid accents! Mounted in an attractively figured oil finished walnut pistol grip stock with leafy scroll carved borders, contrasting forend and grip caps, gold initial oval on the grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and Browning buttplate.

Excellent overall with 99% original blue finish, bold gold inlays, light handling marks, and mild plum coloration on the receiver. The wood is excellent with highly attractive figure on the buttstock, sharp border carving, crisp checkering, and just a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
