Manufactured in 1891 as a third model with integral dust cover rail and dust cover with serrated rear edge. Dovetail blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight on a barrel. Standard markings and mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration as well as receipt at the warehouse on 10 March 1891 and shipment on 21 March 1891.

Very good, retains nearly 30% original blue finish and traces of original nitre blue finish with the balance having thinned to a dark brown-blue patina and some scattered light pitting. The wood is also very good with minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent.
