Per the included invoice, this 1935 production Mauser "G" date Luger was upgraded and refurbished by John Martz in 1994. A famous customizer of Luger and P.38 pistols, Martz was also the inventor of the Martz Safe Toggle Release. Fixed sights, with the "G" date code on the chamber, "S/42" on the front toggle link, and matching external numbers. The top interior of the frame is marked "MSTR", and the Martz device has been installed. The grips are checkered walnut with smooth borders, marked "JVM" on the interior. The "JVM" is repeated on the alloy bases of the two included blued magazines, along with "1" and "2" numbers. A post-WWII Mauser manual, addressed to Martz, is also included.

Very fine as professionally built by John Martz, with 90% plus blue finish, showing some light edge wear, areas of brown patina, and scattered handling marks. The custom grips are also very fine with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
