Manufactured in 1987 to celebrate the creation of the U.S. Constitution, this beautiful rifle is marked in gold on the top barrel flat "We the People of the United States" ahead of the rear sight, Winchester, model and caliber on the left upper flat and "WINCHESTER" opposite that, also marked in gold. The is a wide gold inlaid band around the breech end of the barrel and a wide and narrow band around the muzzle. The satin nickel receiver is very nicely engraved with a scene of the delegates with a gold inlaid wire border and floral vine engraving on the left side. On the lower left edge it is signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli". The right side has floral vine engraving designs as well as a stars and stripes shield and gold inlaid eagle in flight. Above the eagle is a banner with gold inlaid "UNITED STATES of America" and a banner below with gold inlaid "1787 200th Anniversary 1987". The upper tang shows a banner with gold inlaid "DELAWARE". The satin nickel lever and buttplate are engraved with a floral vine pattern. Standard sights and mounted with a nicely figured multi point checkered walnut forearm with engraved satin nickel forend cap and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Excellent. The barrel and magazine tube retain 99% original blue finish with a minor scuff/scratch on the left side near the muzzle. All of the satin nickel finish and gold inlay remains. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered minor dings and handling marks. Sharp engraving. The action is excellent.
