This standard carbine was manufactured in 1929. This model was an updated successor to the Model 1873 using a scaled down version of the Model 1886 action. Square base pinned front sight and adjustable rear carbine sight. The tang has a Marble peep sight installed. The right side of the barrel is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO/--NEW HAVEN. CONN.--". Winchester proof marks on top of the barrel and receiver. Saddle ring and staple mounted on the left side of the receiver with a leather strap on the ring. Full magazine and smooth straight grip stock with a steel carbine style buttplate.

Excellent. 98% plus original blue finish remains on the barrel with mild thinning along high points and showing a few collector type handling marks. The receiver retains 97% original blue finish exhibiting a few casual handling marks and some scattered freckling. The wood is excellent showing light pressure marks with a larger one on the right side of the wrist. An excellent example of a scarce Model 1892 carbine in outstanding condition.
