The factory engraving consists of floral and geometric designs with a hound in pursuit of game on the left side of the frame. Green and red enamel dots populate the center of the flowers throughout the revolver. Hopkins & Allen two-line address with "U.S. Patent JAN. 5, OCT. 5 86" (1886) on barrel rib.

Excellent plus, retaining 99% nickel finish, some areas showing light oxidation, and the enamel dots in some of the flowers have faded. The grips are also excellent with a small superficial crack visible on the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
