Manufactured in 1880 with standard markings and features including the acid etched panel caliber marking and lack of ejector. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration with grips not listed as well as being sold to B. Kittredge & Company of Cincinnati and shipped to J. P. Lovell & Sons of Boston on 5 October 1880.

Fine, retains 50% bright original high polish blue finish, 30% original case colors, and 60% plus original bright nitre blue with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina. The acid etched panel is very fine and clearly legible. The grip is also fine with some minor dings and scratches, mostly crisp checkering, and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
