Description:

This revolver was manufactured in 1859. The top barrel flat is marked "{ADDRESS SAML COLT/ NEW YORK CITY}", and the left side of the frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT". The cylinder has the stagecoach hold up scene and "COLTS PATENT/NO. 115416". The complete matching serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, and back strap while the partial number is also on the loading lever, wedge, and cylinder pin. It has the standard brass post front and hammer notch rear sights, blued barrel and cylinder, silver plated trigger guard and back strap, and casehardened remaining parts. The smooth one piece walnut grip has a glossy varnish.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 90% of the original blue finish on the barrel assembly while 40% remains on the cylinder which has drag line. 60% of the original case colors remain. The markings are all clear. The grip is very fine with nearly 95% of the original varnish some small dings and pressure marks. Mechanically fine.
