The Model 1863s have screw tightened barrel bands rather than band springs securing the barrel bands. Unlike the Model 1855 and Model 1861 rifle-muskets, it also has a more streamlined hammer. This assembled example is dated "1864" on the lock and remarked "1865" on the barrel, but otherwise has the standard markings and features.
Very good as assembled with 60% case colors on the replaced lock, fairly bright barrel and furniture with some light brown patina and minor oxidation/pitting, distinct cartouches, and mild dings and scratches on the metal and fine, reoiled wood. Mechanically fine.
