Manufactured in 1931 and subsequently lavishly upgraded and embellished by the world famous Pachmayr Custom Shop. Single steel bead sight on the matte concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. CUSTOM BY PACHMAYR" with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, full/full chokes, and standard markings on the flats. The muzzle and breech ends of the barrels feature wedges of deep cut, finely detailed scroll engraving with light gold inlaid scroll accents. The blued action features an engine turned water table, added side clips, sculpted fences, dual gold washed triggers, added side plates, and a manual sliding tang safety. The action and side plates are fully engraved with deep cut foliate scroll, fan designs, and feature brilliant gold inlaid hunting dog and game bird scenes of a spaniel and grouse on the right, a setter and woodcock on the left, a pointer retrieving a woodcock on the trigger plate, and three quail on the trigger guard. The trigger guard serial number has also been inlaid with fine gold. Highly figured walnut beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with sharply carved fleur de lis borders, engraved fittings, inscription plaque on the grip cap reading "DONATED BY/NAN & FRANK/ PACHMAYR/TO/F.N.A.W.S.", and solid rubber Old English recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .735/.734; choke constriction .035/.040; minimum wall thickness .027/.029; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches.

Very fine as professionally upgraded and refinished by Pachmayr with 99% of the high quality blue finish remaining on the barrels, some areas of visible dings and mild pitting under the blue, brilliant gold inlays, sharp detailed engraving, and scattered light handling marks. The wood is also very fine with attractive figure, crisp checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
