The included Parker Gun Collectors Association letter confirms the serial number, grade, gauge, barrel steel type, chamber length, original stock configuration, and August 8, 1930 date of shipment. Blue dovetail lump barrels with dual white bead sights on the matte concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL", 2 7/8 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, standard markings on the flats, and full/full chokes. The casehardened action has standard markings on the water table, dual triggers, and automatic sliding tang safety. The action is engraved in the standard DH pattern with swirling scroll, Parker Bros. banners, and hunting dog scenes on the sides, and a grouping of pheasant on the underside. The trigger guard is engraved to match. Multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with engraved fittings, initial oval inscribed "CH" and vented Hawkins recoil pad. Includes a leather leg of mutton case with brass plaque roughly inscribed "Char Hayden". Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .731/.732; minimum wall thickness .031/.034; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 15 inches.

Very fine. The barrels have 97% plus original blue finish remaining with some small scattered surface scratches and handling marks visible. The action has 45% original case colors with the balance silvered out, showing light evidence of cleaning, well defined engraving, and mixed gray patina on the trigger guard and tangs. The forearm is original with well defined checkering and some small dings. The replacement buttstock is very fine with sharp checkering, some small scattered dings, and moderate wear on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Case is good with scuffs and scrapes throughout the exterior, patina on the fittings, and separating end cap.
