The letter further remarks that standard stocks at the time would have been "checkered walnut". Standard blade front and notch rear sights, two-line address and patent marking on left side of slide, maker, caliber, and Rampant Colt marking on the right, short checkered trigger, checkered slide catch, magazine release, thumb safety, and wide spur hammer, and arched checkered mainspring housing. Fitted with period non-factory replacement pearl grips.
