Manufactured very early in 1931. This early production Colt Ace has the correct early features including the round blade front and adjustable rear notch sights, two-line address and patent marking on left side of slide followed by the Rampant Colt logo, model and caliber marking on the right, correct solid chamber barrel, checkered, milled, short trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, and checkered slide catch, thumb safety, and arched mainspring housing. Fitted with fully checkered walnut grips and correct two-tone blue magazine with base marked "COLT/<ACE>/22 L.R."

Fine with 70% bright original blue finish, noticeable patch of cold blue touch up around the replaced, reseated front sight, near the muzzle over some visible light pitting, scattered small scratches, and mostly gray patina on the front grip strap. The grips are very fine with well defined checkering and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
