This Weimar era military P.08 Luger pistol is listed by serial and navy property numbers on page 205 of "Weimar and Early Nazi Era Lugers and their Accessories" by Jan C. Still. Features inverted "V" blade front and notch rear sights, "1920/1918" double dated chamber, standard imperial proofs and acceptance marks on the right side of the barrel extension, Simson "eagle/O" rework proofs on the left side of the barrel and extension, DWM monogram on the toggle, "O.1236." Weimar navy property marking on the front grip strap, and matching visible exterior numbers. The pistol is standard blue with straw colored small parts, and nitre blue pins and springs. Checkered wood grips and replacement nickel finished magazine with non-matching numbered aluminum base.

Fine as reworked in the inter-war period by Simson of Suhl with a sleeved barrel, 75% of the blue finish remaining, some areas thinning to a mottled gray/brown patina, scattered surface dings and scratches, and some spotting visible on the grip straps. The grips are also fine with mildly worn checkering and some small dings and bruises. Mechanically excellent.
