Description:

Manufactured by the Tokyo Arsenal from 1909 to 1928, the Baby Nambu was the semi-official officer's pistol of the Imperial Japanese Military. Fixed sights, with the "stacked cannonball" arsenal marking on top of the chamber and the nomenclature markings and serial number on the right side of the frame. The firing pin is unnumbered, but the other components are matching, including the magazine and grip panels. Included with the pistol is a fine brown leather holster, made in the style of the Imperial regulation "clamshell" holster, with two untranslated ink symbols on the ammo pouch and brass fittings.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing some specks of minor pitting around the ejector port and the sides of the frame, light edge wear and mild handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent, with a few dings and scuffs. The holster is fine, with some minor staining and supple leather. Mechanically excellent.
