In 1981 the Willi Korth firm including all inventory, tools, and drawings were sold to Count Nikolas von Bernstorff. Inventor Willi Korth would stay on in a supervisory role with the company until 1983 when he resigned due to failing health. The assets would be acquired in 2000 by Armurerie Freylinger of Luxembourg and in 2001 Korth USA was established to attempt to expand into the American market. Manufactured in 2002. Ramp blade front and windage adjustable rear notch sights, caliber marking on left side of barrel, serrated trigger and wide spur hammer, and standard German proofs on the frame. The revolver features full coverage oak leaf and acorn motif engraving with silver inlaid scroll borders. The under side of the barrel is signed "R. KAUFMANN". With attractive combat pattern walnut grips with matching oak leaf and acorn carving. Includes black leather bound Korth case, small tools, tie pin, tape measure, and cloth patch. Comes with a manual.

Excellent overall with 99% original blue finish, slight patina on the silver inlaid borders, some small drag lines in the cylinder stops, and crisp carving on the grips. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent.
