The Model 61 was developed by Winchester in an attempt to keep pace with its competitors hammerless .22 rifles. Model 61s were produced from 1932 to 1963, this variation (Magnum) was only produced from 1960 to 1963. It features a dovetail front sight, adjustable rear sight, the top of the receiver grooved for scope mounting, tubular magazine, 17 groove flat bottom slide and pistol grip stock with a black plastic buttplate with "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO" in a circle. Complete with original box numbered to gun, manual and hanging tag.

Near new in original box. All metal surfaces retain 99% original blue finish exhibiting only very minor wear from storage and limited assembly. The magazine tube has two small patches of thinning near the second band and is mildly spotted along some points. Otherwise like new. The wood is excellent plus. The box is excellent with the end label 100% complete and all edges are solid. An excellent example of a Winchester model 61 magnum, that the box alone would be hard to improve upon!
