The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, pistol grip stock, and November 9, 1903 date of shipment. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable sporting notch rear sights, third style two-line address and patent markings on the octagon barrel, and "22 W.R.F." on the barrel at the breech. Fitted with a twelve groove, round slide handle, and special order plain pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap, and casehardened crescent buttplate.

Fine with 60% plus original blue finish remaining, small traces of light surface pitting, cycling marks, and a mottled gray patina on the balance. The wood is also fine with scattered dings and shallow scratches throughout, and the buttplate a mostly gray patina. Mechanically excellent.
