Description:

"SWP/1881" cartouche and other standard markings and features. The Model 1879 was an important rifle in the West, and 1881 was certainly a year of notable events within the country, including the assassination of President Garfield, the killing of Billy the Kid, and the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus original blue and vivid casehardened finish, crisp markings, a few minor flashes of pitting on the left side of the barrel, and otherwise excellent wood, and general minor overall wear. Mechanically excellent. Difficult to find in this condition!
