Manufactured c. 1870s. The only markings are "10" on the action under the forearm, a "3" inside the trigger guard, and a "crown/V" proof on the lower tang and inside of the trigger guard, but the design is the same as others marked by "BREVET NAGANT" and "BREVET REMINGTON." It does not have sights and does not appear to have been chambered. The fancy grade stock has a Remington Arms Co. hard rubber buttplate.

Very good with brown patina, mild oxidation/pitting, and general mild wear. The reoiled wood is fine and has very nice figure on the butt, chips on the toe of the buttplate, and a tiny flake at the upper tang. Mechanically fine.
