Manufactured in 1898 with a bullseye ejector. It has the standard two-line Hartford barrel address on the top of the barrel and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The three line, three patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The loading gate is marked with the assembly number "167". It has blade front and frame notch rear sights and checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt emblem (left or both panels replaced).

Very fine. 75% of the original blue finish and 60% of the case colors remain with some areas thinning. There are light scratches on the barrel and cylinder along with some spotting. The grips are very good with mostly crisp checkering and an aged chocolate tone; the left panel is slightly undersized and the right panel has more smoothed checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Very good, retains 40% original blue and faint traces of case color patterns with the balance a mottled brown-grey patina. The grips are fine with mild wear, some light dings and scratches, and mostly well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
