Manufactured in circa 1887, this shotgun features a rarely encountered early non-selective ejector system where both barrels eject on opening regardless of whether the barrels have each been fired. With browned Damascus barrels signed “W. & C. SCOTT & SON, 10, GT. CASTLE STREET, REGENT CIRCUS, LONDON” on the rib, with London reproof marks dated 2013. Border and scroll engraved casehardened action and rebounding back action side locks, and border and scroll engraved blued toplever and trigger guard. Well figured semi-pistol grip stock with checkered grip and forearm, the underside of the stock with blank silver oval initial escutcheon. The underside of the barrel and stock fitted with sling mounts. Barrel measurements (R/L): chambers proofed and measured at 2 1/2"; bores proofed at 19.0 (.748) and 18.8 (.740) and measured at .748/.740; chokes measured at .004/.020; minimum barrel wall thickness at .020/.026.Weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.

Barrels retaining 90% rebrowned finish, signature softened, fine Damascus pattern. Action retaining 90% of the casehardened finish, clear engraving, slight rubbing to breech face.
