Manufactured in 1898. Crolle pattern Damascus steel dovetail lump barrels with a single bead sight on the matte concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL", 2 9/16 inch chambers with single extractor, and modified/full chokes. Casehardened box lock action with standard "D" grade engraving of a setter on the right, pointer on the left, quail on the underside, Parker Brothers banners on the sides, flowing American scroll on the balance, dual triggers, and automatic sliding tang safety. Checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with engraved fittings, checkered hard rubber grip cap, blank silver initial oval, and lightly engraved skeleton buttplate on a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .731/.732; minimum wall thickness .029/.020; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 3/8 inches.

Fine with 75% original blue finish on the barrels, some small dings on the rib, silvered out patches, and some visible traces of surface spotting and light pitting. The action has 75% vivid original case colors with silvering and gray patina on the high edges, sharp detailed engraving, and mostly artificial brown patina on the trigger guard. The refinished wood is also fine with crisp recut checkering, small repaired chip at the buttplate heel tip, scattered dings and bruises, and mixed patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
