A product of the Remington Custom Shop, the "D", or "Tournament", grade was meant with the serious competitor or sportsman in mind, featuring a more subtle engraving pattern than the Expert and Premier grades, but benefitting from the precision hand fitting that the master gunsmiths of the Custom Shop were capable of. The shotguns in this lot are virtually identical in decoration and configuration, with the 28ga and 410ga guns measuring a mere quarter inch shorter than the 12ga and 20ga, and all but the 410 (improved cylinder, 2 1/2" chamber) have a 2 3/4" chamber and Remington Special Skeet choke. White front and nickel bead mid sights on the vent rib, with standard markings on either side of the barrel and 2 1/2" wedges of leafy scroll engraving. The receiver, trigger guard and bolt are also scroll engraved, with a leaf pattern on the operating handle and the model markings and serial number on the left side. High grade walnut stock, with checkering on the forearm and pistol grip, black grip cap with white diamond insert, 14" length of pull and serrated Remington buttplate.

Near new, with only a very few light handling marks overall. Crisp engraving and checkering, with finely figured wood grain. Mechanically excellent.
