LECHNER NURNBERG" ahead of the rear sight, double claw scope bases with Hensoldt DIALYTAN 4x scope, 2 3/4 inch chamber, single extractor, improved modified choke, standard German proofs on the flats and tubes, and "118,35" proof date. The action is casehardened with an underlever cocking action, exposed portions of the firing pins at the rear, automatic sliding tang safety, and dual triggers (front is set trigger). The serial number "62" is found on the rear barrel lug, water table, and inside of the trigger guard, and an unidentified maker's mark of a backwards "E" and forward "B" is found on numerous components. The action is fully engraved broad leafy scroll, line borders, punch dot texture, and a small roe deer scene on top of the action. Checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with left handed cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trap, and checkered horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .668; minimum wall thickness .038; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches.

Fine with 90% original blue finish on the barrels, scattered small dings, mild edge wear, and some visible small scratches. The action has 80% original case colors with sharp engraving, and the tangs and lever mostly silvered out. The wood is also fine with a small chip absent at the tip and right rear of the forearm, small scattered dings, attractive color and grain, and another small chip absent at the left rear of the action. Mechanically excellent.
