Manufactured in 1937 and subsequently professionally embellished. Standard blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, correct early style solid chamber barrel, two-line address on the left side of the slide, and standard caliber and model markings on the right. The pistol features full coverage fine floral and scroll engraving with punch dot shading, "BS" monogram at the right rear of the slide, and Rampant Colt at the left rear. With checkered slide catch, trigger, safety, and arched mainspring housing. Fitted with stabilized bone grips with inset Colt medallions. Includes custom hardwood fitted case with glass lid and identification plaque.

Exceptionally fine as professionally embellished and nickel plated with well defined markings, detailed engraving, and some scattered light handling marks. The grips are fine with an epoxy repair visible on the bottom of both panels. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent.
