Manufactured 1915-1919 on order for the British Government, with a set of crossed pennant and broad arrow military stamps along with the standard commercial markings. Fixed sights, with a long smooth trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered grips, "CALIBRE 455" marked slide, and a correct two-tone magazine with "CAL 455/ELEY" marked lanyard base. The left side of the frame is marked with a broad arrow, crossed pennants, and a "crown/G2/A" proof. The replacement .45 ACP barrel is High Standard "HS" marked, and the extra magazine is full blue and unmarked.

Exceptionally fine, with 95% plus original high polish blue finish, showing some mild edge wear, a few dings and scratches, and a small amount of spotting on the mainspring housing. The grips are excellent, with a few dings, and driver marks on and around the screw heads. Mechanically excellent. A .455 barrel would greatly enhance this already exceptional Government Model.
