Manufactured in 1943. Blade and flat top notch sights, the "USS" monogram and "U.S. & S. Co./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A." on the left side of the slide, with a Robert Downie "R.C.D." inspected frame, thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, full blue "S" marked magazine and "HS" marked High Standard barrel. The vintage target grips are injection molded white bakelite with an oak leaf and acorn motif, thumbrest, and "AUTO/-POINTER-/22-909-45" molded onto the inside of the right panel. Includes Brauer Brothers leather combination case/holster.

Excellent with 90% plus original matte du-lite finish remaining, some small areas of high point and edge wear, visible takedown mark on left side of frame, and some small surface scratches. The period replacement custom grips are very fine with handling marks, some faint discoloration, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Holster is fine with visible scuffs and wear, and some mild discoloration on the interior.
