Manufactured as an early production Remington-Rand contract (production started with number 916405, with this example, number 917089, being the 684th produced) in 1943 and subsequently arsenal refurbished. Blade and flat top notch sights, standard slide markings, "FJA" inspected frame, milled checkered trigger, thin checkered hammer, long grip safety, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch and arched checkered mainspring housing, hollow back Colt Rock type checkered grips, "C-R" marked parkerized magazine, and a parkerized High Standard "HS" barrel.

Very fine with 97% arsenal refurbished parkerized finish remaining, some small spots of light edge wear, mild cycling marks, handling marks, and double stamped inspection mark. The grips are excellent with some small dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
