Manufactured in 1942. Will factory letter as originally shipped with a 4 inch barrel (currently replacement 2 inch barrel). Two "VP" Colt proofs are stamped on the left side of the trigger guard (one on each shoulder), with "P." on the left side of the frame ahead of the hammer and a pair of checkered grips with Rampant Colt imprints.

Very fine as altered to desirable 2 inch barrel configuration, with 98% plus parkerized finish, showing some edge wear and mild handling marks. The excellent grips show a few light dings and dents. Mechanically excellent.
