Part of the early post-Weimar German re-armament program, the "K" date Lugers were manufactured in 1934 in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Fixed sights, with the "K" date on the chamber, "S/42" code on the front toggle link, correct gothic "S" (block on the rear toggle link, script elsewhere) on multiple components, "O][37" on the extension and barrel and "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Some small parts are straw finished, with niter blue pins and screws, and a correct bright finished alloy base magazine matching number marked "S/1409/O][37". Numbers are matching overall, including the grips. A black leather flap holster is included, stamped "OTTO SINDEL/BERLIN/1934" and "WaA94" on the back and "1404" on the body under the flap. This is only five numbers away from this Luger!

Very fine, with 80% plus of the correct original early pattern combination rust/salt blue, showing bright wear on the edges and high points, minor spotting, and light handling marks. A few dings can be seen on the receiver and frame. 75% of the bright original straw color is present, darkening in a few areas and showing bright gray on others. The grips are also very fine, with some dings and dark spots. The holster is very good, with mild wear and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
