Part of the early post-Weimar German re-armament program, the "K" date Lugers were manufactured in 1934 in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Fixed sights, with the "K" date on the chamber, "S/42" code on the front toggle link, "S" (script and block) on multiple components, "O][37" on the extension and barrel and "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Some small parts are straw finished, with niter blue pins and screws, and a bright finished alloy base magazine marked "S/1454/O][37". Aside from the magazine and unnumbered extractor, numbers are matching overall, including the grips. A black leather flap holster is included, stamped "1920" and "FRANZ COBAU/BERLIN/1935" on the back, faintly hand-marked inside the flap, and with a small takedown tool.

Fine, with 40% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, minor spotting and scattered handling marks. 40% of the original straw color is present, with the remainder a mixed gray patina. The grips are good, with flat spots, dents and some verdigris buildup. The holster is good, with some scuffs and wear. Mechanically excellent.
