Description:

Rarely seen Norwegian copy of Colt M1911 Automatic Pistol with three-digit serial number. The pistol has a dull blue receiver and slide. The slide stop, thumb safety and other small parts have a high polish, bright blue, finish. The replacement stocks are checkered, oil-finished, walnut with diamonds surrounding the stock screws. The magazine is bright with a lanyard loop and the pinned floor-plate. The left side of the slide is marked: "COLT AUT. PISTOL M/1914". The right side of the slide is marked with the year of production, "1918" over "A". All major components (excluding the magazine), the slide, barrel, frame, trigger, thumb safety, grip safety, main spring housing, magazine catch lock, slide stop, and the recoil spring guide are all marked with the serial number "276". The slide stop is the correct early Colt pattern. The only components that do not appear to have matching serial numbers are the recoil spring plug and barrel bushing which are unnumbered.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% plus original dull blue finish remaining, crisp markings, areas of high point and edge wear, thinning to a gray patina on the grip straps, and scattered small dings, nicks and scratches throughout. The replacement Colt grips are also fine with small scattered dings and well defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
