Manufactured in 1906 with Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Standard two-line address/patent marking on the barrel, two-line "nickel steel" marking, and "33 W.C.F." at the breech. It is fitted with a ramped and dovetailed Lyman beaded blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights, as well as the special order 3/4 length magazine. The left side of the lower tang is marked "496 S", with "496" repeated in the stock inlet, and "496/S" repeated on the inside of the buttplate. Mounted with an "I" pattern checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and fitted with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate.

Very fine, retains 70% original high polish blue finish and 40% of the original case colors on the lever and hammer with the balance a smooth grey patina. The wood is also very fine with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
