Originally manufactured in 1908 with standard markings including traces of the Winchester factory oval proofs visible. It was subsequently masterfully, elaborately, custom embellished with near full coverage floral scroll engraving on the receiver which continues onto the barrel at the breech, lever, and forend cap. Each side of the receiver also has gold border inlays and a gold inlaid relief scene with a bison on the left and a stag on the right. Fitted with dovetailed German silver blade front and three-leaf express rear sights. Mounted with a very finely figured vine and skip-line checkered forearm and straight grip stock with high comb, cheekpiece, and hard rubber serrated shotgun buttplate.

Very fine as masterfully embellished, retains 98% plus blue finish and all of the gold inlays, with the barrel showing a slight plum hue, a few scattered light handling marks. The highly figured custom wood is also very fine with a few scattered light dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
