Description:

This model was manufactured c. 1876-1891, and this rifle was manufactured in 1881 or earlier based on the J.M. Marlin address and patent marking on the left side of the frame. It features a globe front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, adjustable peep sight, schnabel tip forearm, and straight wrist stock with crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus original blue finish, 30% original case colors remaining primarily on the breechblock, gray with some darker patches of discoloration on the balance, and minor oxidation. The wood is also very fine and has most of the glossy original finish, cracks on the sides of the wrist, and minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
