Description:

This model was manufactured from 1868 to 1881. The engraving consists of floral and scroll engraving with a punch dot background covering nearly all of the metal surfaces and a vignette of a woman in a hat on the left side plate. The same vignette is pictured on the bottom right of page 60 and top of page 61 of "L.D. Nimschke: Firearms Engraver" by Wilson.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 80% original nickel plating, strong original case colors on the hammer, minor oxidation, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, and mild wear overall. The grips also very good and have attractive natural coloration and minor handling wear. Mechanically excellent with replacement barrel hinge screw. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
