Description:

This interesting knife pistol was produced by C.G. Granberg of Eskilstuna, Sweden. Reportedly 90 of these were manufactured for Swedish prison guards. Knife pistols were also used by the Norwegian postal employees due to assaults on mail carriers. Sweden and Norway were united in 1818-1905. The blade has an interesting combination leaf/clip-point style profile and measures 12 1/2 inches long. The spine is marked "C.G. GRANBERG 24." "24" is repeated on each barrel, and on both sides of the lower quillions. "GF" is on the top of the left barrel, and "JFL" is on the top of the right barrel. The upper quillions are actually the hammers. When cocked, the triggers fold down. The grips are walnut and have a lanyard hole and grooves cut on top. The scabbard is black leather with brass fittings.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus with mostly gray patina, darker brown patina in a few areas, some minor pitting, and general mild wear. The grips are very good and have mild handling and storage wear and minor loss at the edges. Mechanically fine. The scabbard is very good with a couple of holes and moderate flaking on the leather and aged patina on the brass.
