This attractive Mauser Oberndorf action big game rifle was custom made by Hoffman Arms Co. of Cleveland, Ohio around the time of their move to Oklahoma in 1925. The medium weight barrel is marked with the Cleveland address and "216" and fitted with a stippled, ramped, and hooded beaded blade front sight, sling swivel stud, and a stippled quarter rib with a dovetailed three-leaf rear sight with the three folding leaves marked for 100, 200, and 300 yards. The caliber is marked "300 MAG." on the left of the barrel at the breech. The stippling continues onto the receiver ring with flourishes of floral scroll engraving to either side, the Oberndorf Mauser address on the left of the action, and a flip up peep sight dovetailed in the rear receiver ring. Various small parts bear the partial matching serial number. The floorplate and trigger guard are also engraved by Rudolf Kornbrath with extensive floral relief chiseled scroll engraving and the trigger is checkered. Mounted with a nicely figured, straight grain, walnut stock with multi-point checkering, contrasting horn forend tip, pistol grip with engraved steel grip cap, shadowline cheek piece, sling swivel stud, and an engraved and checkered trapdoor shotgun buttplate. Includes a letter of authenticity signed by Tom Selleck confirming it is from his personal collection.

Excellent, retains 99% blue finish with the barrel showing a slight plum hue, a few scattered light handling marks, crisp engraving, and some discoloration inside the action. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered light dings, a minor ding on the left below the cheek piece, and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
