The Mauser action features broad leafy scroll engraving with matching engraved thumbscrew, matching engraving on the floorplate and trigger guard, and German proofs on the bolt components. Checkered walnut takedown stock with horn forend tip and grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor.

Fine with 80% thinning period refinished blue remaining, areas of visible mild brown patina, high point and edge wear, well defined engraving, and mottled gray/brown patinated band around the muzzle. The wood is also fine with mostly crisp checkering, scattered small dings, and bruises, and oxidized patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
