Description:

Manufactured in the 1870s and 1880s based on designs by Joseph Rider. Interestingly, more of these were engraved than were left plain. The design was clearly influenced by the popular Winchester rifles of the period and their predecessors. The Riders are among the earliest magazine fed pistols. The pistol takes up basically the same amount of pocket space as Remington's famous double derringer but allowed for five shots instead of two. This example has factory scroll and border engraving on the receiver and back strap as well as the standard sights and markings. Includes a custom hardwood case and six brass casings (likely .32 Extra Short RF).

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 95% plus original nickel finish with some scattered light handling marks and crisp engraving. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically fine. The relined custom case is very good with some scattered minor dings and scratches.
