Produced by a modern custom maker, this is a 5-shot manually rotated pinfire pepperbox revolver installed onto a brass ring. The design originated in France, most commonly under the "Petit Protector" name, with small 4.5mm chambers. The ring (approximately U.S. size 15) is undecorated and constructed of polished brass with nitre blue barrel cluster, hammer and spring. Includes a modern jewelry style case with black felt interior, five pinfire cartridges, five projectiles, and small screwdriver.

Very fine as custom made. The ring and mechanism are well constructed with some very small dings and scratches on the brass band, handling marks overall, and small drag lines on the barrel cluster from the ball detent.
