Manufactured by Erma of Munich these conversion kits allow a standard K98 rifle to be rapidly reconfigured to a .22 caliber repeater for inexpensive training. This particular example is inspection proofed by the Waffenamt for use by the Wehrmacht. One simply removes the original bolt and floor plate, inserts the Erma receiver/barrel sleeve assembly into the 98k receiver, and installs the included magazine well. The "eagle/77" and "droop-wing eagle" proofs are present on multiple components. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bolt, sleeve and magazine well, which is also dated "1937". Both of the included Erma marked magazines are dated "1938" A small steel tool is included, and all of the listed components are contained in the correct Erma mared, military proofed, finely fit hardwood transport case.

Excellent, with 95% of the bright original blue finish, showing some bright contact wear on the blued components and mild handling marks overall. The case is in very fine condition, with some light dings and stains. One will look a long time to find a better example.
