This is a very fine example of an early production, German occupation, Fabrique Nationale High Power pistol with the 500 meter tangent rear sight and not slotted for a shoulder stock. During the occupation about 92,000 of this variation were produced in comparison with the 228,000 produced with fixed sights, making it relatively scarce. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with matching numbers on the barrel, slide and frame, a set of "eagle/swastika" and "eagle/WaA613" Waffenamt proofs, some poorly or double stamped, a smooth back strap, and a pair of checkered grips.

Very fine, retains 85% plus original blue finish with the balance thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and some edges, and some scattered light handling marks throughout. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
