Description:

Measuring 35 1/2 inches overall, with a 29 1/2 inch straight single fuller blade with the Weyersberg knight's helm logo on the right ricasso and a 12 1/2 inch panel of martial-themed etching on each side. The hilt is gold washed with an engraved dual-folding apple-shaped guard over a 4 inch long straight-bar cross guard, an engraved knuckle bow, silver wire grip, ball-shaped pommel with flared nut, and a golden portapee with solid acorn. With a gilt brass fitted black leather scabbard. Noted by the consignor as a "Prussian corsair's social sword", the item appears to have taken design cues both from the traditional European gentleman's dress sword and the U.S. 1832 General Staff Sword, particularly in the guard arrangement.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with some minor spotting on the blade and mild handling marks overall.
