Measuring 37 inches overall with a 31 3/4 inch curved single fuller blade showing an etched vine on the spine and a 13 3/4 inch etched panel on each side with a bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II on the right side and an eagle holding a "DEUTSCHLAND UBER ALLES IN DER WELT!" (Germany over everything in the world) banner on the left. The hilt is constructed from gilt brass with sculpted oak leaf and floral patterns overall, crossed cannons on the obverse ricasso, silver wire wrapped black celluloid grip and a red eyed lion head pommel. With a black enamel finished steel scabbard with suspension ring.

Fine with some light spotting on the excellent blade and mild handling marks overall. The hilt shows over 90% of the original gilt finish with a fine aged patina on the exposed brass. The repainted scabbard is very good.
