Manufactured about 1905, with fixed blade front and 1000-meter tangent rear sights, late style short extractor, the standard 3-line address and "crown/crown/U" proof on the chamber, and a "P in shield" contract/proof stamp visible on the right side of the receiver. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, hammer, hammer housing and frame, the latter of which is fitted with a pair of fine checkered gutta percha grips with "MW" monograms. The hardwood shoulder stock is fitted with a tightly bound cover of brown pigskin, which integrates a closure strap and a pair of belt loops.

Very fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing scattered spotting and areas of brown patina, along with bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are fine, showing some chips, dings and flat spots. The stock body shows some cracking, with the outer cover showing some light scratches and scuffs. Mechanically very good.
