The Model 1862 is justly considered by many to be the most attractive and most advanced of all of the Colt percussion revolvers. These revolvers were manufactured in 1862 and remain in high condition, especially for a Civil War era Colt percussion revolvers. They have the standard markings and features for this model, including matching serial numbers (grip number for "B" not clear). The trigger guards are both numbered "4" on the left under the caliber marking. The come in a custom relined case with a cap tin, American themed flask, cartridge packs, an Eley cartridge, bullet, steel Colt's patent dual cavity bullet mold, and an oiler.

Very good with 80% replated silver plating remaining and displaying attractive aged patina, refinished case colors, 25% refinished blue finish, mostly smooth gray and brown patina on the balance of the metal, some minor pitting, strong oiled finish on the grip, and general mild wear including at the edge of the grip. Mechanically fine. The relined custom case and accessories are good and have mild age and storage related wear.

Very good with 50% original blue finish on the barrel, 70% original case colors, 70% replated silver plating, age patina on the silver and exposed brass, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance of the steel, mild dings and scratches, and general mild wear. The grip is good and has moderate handling and edge wear, slight gap at the back of the frame, and some dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
